AMVJ1-PingPong Alkmaar2 Uitslag 6-4
PingPong2 was niet met haar sterkste opstelling gekomen en dit gaf de kans aan ons team om te scoren. Haneef zat al hoog en droog in India en is pas de laatste wedstrijd weer beschikbaar. In bijna alle wedstrijden speelde aan beide kanten de mentaliteit een heel belangrijke rol. Wedstrijden waar ineens een speler inzakte of ineens beter ging spelen en dat ging op en neer. Ryuya start als eerste en verloor uiteindelijk de 5e partij met 11-13, maar het had andersom kunnen zijn. Luca won de 2e wedstrijd redelijk makkelijk met 3-1 maar Benjamin ging met een 2-0 voorsprong (2x 11-5) in de 3e game onderuit met 11-13. Dame Stuti veranderde haar spel zodanig dat Benjamin er geen goed antwoord op had. Dat was een zware les. Gelukkig won het dubbel Benjamin/Luca en met 2-2 weer terug in de wedstrijd. Zoals bijna altijd is het dubbel het kantelpunt. Luca ging jammer genoeg tegen Konstantin met 2-3 onderuit en dat was niet nodig . Dus stand 2-3, spannend. Ryuya verloor stand 2-4, maar daarna wonnen Benjamin 2x , Luca en Ryuya hun partijen en werd het een zwaar bevochten 6-4 zege. PingPong Alkmaar blijft toch ruim boven aan staan en ook VDO won en staan wij 3e op ruime afstand van Amstelveen1.
PingPong2 did not play with their strongest formation and this was an oppertunity for us. Haneef is roaming in India and will play the last match. In all matches the mentality is very important as we saw players suddenly missing easy strikes or played much better. Ryuya started and lost in 5 games but was very close. Luca won his match without a problem but Benjamin winning easily the first two games lost the 3rd one as lady Stuti changed her way of playing and Benjamin could not find the right answer and lost in 5 games the match, so 1-2. Lucky double Benjamin/Luca won the double so 2-2. The double is nearly always the turning-point in a match. But Luca lost in 5 games his match against Konstantin which was a surprise, so 2-4. But now the boys Benjamin 2x and Luca and Ryuya won their matches, so 6-4 victory. Nice. PingPong2 is still first in ranking with VDO second and AMVJ 3rd but with a wide distance above Amstelveen1.
