AMVJ Table Tennis
General Information
AMVJ Table Tennis is a club for players of all ages where fun and table tennis technique are paramount in a sociable atmosphere. AMVJ Table Tennis is the oldest (1927) table tennis club in the Netherlands and is located in Amstelveen (North). A club with an illustrious history!
We currently have teams (all 3-5 players each) participating in senior leagues and junior leagues of NTTB region Noord Holland. In total, our club has over 70 members, including recreational players, which makes AMVJ Table Tennis an attractive club in the Amsterdam area. The club also has a diversity of nationalities because many students and internatonal companies have established themselves in the Amsterdam/Schiphol area. AMVJ Table Tennis has members starting at the age of 6 and has some members who have reached the respectable age of 70+. Table tennis is a sport that you can play throughout your life and is the ideal way to keep fit.
AMVJ Table Tennis has multiple options to play every day and several organized training sessions for beginners and advanced players. We are a club with enthusiastic members who are happy to play ball with you and with qualified trainers who can help to take your game to the next level. We believe that proper training, especially when you start playing table tennis, is essential in order to develop your game and to allow you to progress to your chosen level.
AMVJ Table Tennis has daily access to a professional sports hall suitable for a maximum of 6 tables and has a beautiful clubhouse with a spacious canteen and large outdoor terrace. Our friendly bartenders Koen Otto & Rodney de Vos are happy to serve you a nice drink or simple snack when you have finished playing.
